For a local list I am trying to create a custom welcome message for subscribers.

There appear to be a $signup for the whole site, a $signup for the local list, and a welcome email template.

Two welcome mails go out if I create a welcome message. One is the welcome message from the custom templates and the other is the local or global $signup. Is there a way to disalbe the $signup action for a list and use just the welcome template?

thanks nate
