The fact that you can use Notebook=NO means it is up to each List Owner to
decided if his previous list postings are of importance at all. If that is the
case, let him have a convenient tool to delete messages that he/she decide are
no longer needed. The fact is that deleting archive items is possible already,
via mail, only it is not convenient. Making it difficult as a measure of
not encouraging list owners to delete archive items, is not the way...I doubt
it if this is what Lsoft meant in the first place...
