why won't listserv find files?

I'm having a bit of trouble having listserv find files it has--it won't
send files unless you explicitly state from which filelist it comes.
To wit:
 
get lpr exec     <---breaks
get lpr exec cutcp <-- works dandy
 
Any ideas what I've broken?
