Check list headers for what? In a Unix environment, a very quick and
directy way to check to see if a list has "Send= Private" set would
be to type:

  ~listserv/bin/listview ~listserv/home.list | grep "*" | grep -i private

which will take a long time to run if your list hosts lots of lists, but
it should do the job.
