Revised LISTSERV forum <LSTSRV-L@DEARN> |
Why does mail distributed by LISTSERV to some European subscribers
(DGOGWDG1) take as long as 7 days from YORKVM1? Mail sent directly
to the local MAILER (not through LISTSERV) reach the same European
destination within a few hours. Apart from the problem with busy
gateways, is there a lower priority placed on small files and mail
items sent from a LISTSERVer? What can be done from LISTSERV at
YORKVM1 to provide a better mail distribution service to foreign
subscribers?
I realize that there is/maybe a MAILER factor involved in solving
this problem but rather than have the world change their MAILER
I'm more interested in what I can do to improve the situation.
Thanks for all comments/suggestions/help.
