Ok, I'll concede, but only if the format is documented. I do bulk updates
to several lists, and before I do them, I compare them to the list
to prevent them from being reapplied. It improves performance even more
if you don't have to do the work period. When I'm adding a hundred or
more names to a list, this can have significant impact. Listserv is one
of the few applications we are having size problems with. I've got
two lists here that have over a 1,000 subscribers, an dI have over 14,000
names in the SIGNUP FILE. Small performance gains can mean a lot,
but to slightly change a phrase:
"There's no work like no work"
