If the search is cancelled, the hits are also cancelled. I agree that the
message is confusing. Above all I will  try to understand why it takes so
long just to read the files. When I  wrote that code it took 3 seconds on
a 4341  to read  BITEARN NODES, and  I doubt you  have 40  BITEARN NODES'
worth of data in your archives :-)
