Revised LISTSERV forum <LSTSRV-L@CEARN> |
Has anyone written any code (yet) that either scans the LISTSERV (console)
logs or MAILER logs and determines the relative traffic between? In
particular I am trying to determine the number of files distributed by
listserv relative to the number of files it receives on a cumulative basis.
Not only that (!!), but I also would like to be able to determine this on
a destination and source link basis. [eg. Remote listserv sends 20 files
to LISTSERV who breaks that up to 20x40 mail files for 'local' distribution.
All this info is in the LISTSERV console logs but I am not aware of any
existing way of counting this ??].
What does LISTSERV mean by 'local'? Is this 'this node including mailer';
'this node excluding mailer'or 'any node but not another listserv'?
A related question: Does DIST2 use mailer or sendfile or what?
ps. For files above also read records (bytes preferrably!).
