lstsrv-l via [log in to unmask] accepts batch
searching.  Maybe you could search that for the
answer? ;-)
 
SEARCH depends on the platform and version of LISTSERV
(tm).  All VM/CMS versions allow it (plus those that
are also Bitnet connected can be searched interactively
via Bitnet messaging).  Non-VM/CMS versions that are
identified as 1.8c seem to now support a similar
search e.g. [log in to unmask]
