you didn't say what way up is but you should say
SORT_RECIPIENTS=0
under most circumstances.
i don't have any trouble keeping all the concurrency remote slots filled
(255) with
MAXBSMTP = 500
but i suspect most any sensible value (.5-4k) is fine. you might want to
take this up on the qmail list.
