Only subscribers (sub-lists, too) receive email distributed through lists.  List-owners are not automatically subscribed,

As mentioned elsewhere (different thread), some mail systems do not automatically display messages with outbound and inbound the same message-ids even with REPRO and MAIL (and TOPICS).
