I very much agree with the previous posting by Mr. Chi.
 
It doesn't seem to me that the CREN board cares at all about what
bitnet sites think.  I think their selling a competing product is
unconscionable.  Software development should be left to public
enterprize.  Further, why should they be showing favoritism toward
particular operating systems of their own choosing?  I believe
that more of us are getting tired of that than they are aware of.
(Though it remains to be seen if they care.)
 
Who comprises this CREN board, and how can they act alone without adequate
consultation with their user base, as it would seem they do?  Can we
elect them?  Can we effectively question their policies and force review
of them?  If so, how?
 
Where will the money from these sales go?  Who is profiting from this?
Is CREN a not-for-profit organization?  Exactly what IS CREN, anyway,
and why do we have to pay any attention to them at all?
