This certainly is a reasonable approach, but I'd also find it
useful to be able to send the threshold-exceeded messages
somewhere else. We have *never* had a runaway loop that hit the
threshold--this is a tribute to the strength of the other loop-
prevention mechanisms. But just this morning I had to free one
of our lists that hit the threshold of 200. I'm acting as owner
and Errors-to person for several of our lists, but each list has
its own editor/helper who watches over the content. That person
is the one who would know whether there is really a loop or just
a lot of messages. I'd like for both of us to get the notices.
This is not a major problem for us. I usually check through the
error messages twice a day and can send them to the appropriate
person.
