Try doing a repeat-subscribe as suggested below, without unsubscribing, to one list, and see if that doesn't make the change for them all - since I believe the items in question are kept in the SIGNUP files, rather than the LIST files. You can verify the effect by running a
query * for [log in to unmask]
from the site maintainer address, or if all the lists have the same owner, from that owner address.

Thanks - that was indeed the problem- the password was included as
part of the name.
Is there a way to globally change the name associated with an email
address? (This person is subscribed to over 20 lists.) I looked at
the change * command but I did not see the syntax for changing the
name.
