If archives need to be saved for read-only, definitely a NOPOST should be set for any subscribers.  You may want to (explicitly) permit list owners to post, though any posts they make would be likely related to archive usage.


Note that if you have scripts that keep track of list usage (UGA does, and flags those unused --- i.e. no postings in over two years), you will need to be aware of that.
