Restricting notebooks to subscribers only should reduce and possibly
eliminate the problem depending on how sophisticated the bots are.
Notebook= Yes,[...],Private
Making the mailing list confidential:
Confidential= Yes
might also help in that it would prevent the mailing list from being
listed on the main web archives page.
