Careful Jeff, if LISTSERV sends mail to MAILER with BSMTP and sets the
To: tag to the list name, it will work *except* when the receiving node
has a mailer configured like MAILER BITNET 2 (the old non-BSMTP exit) in
which case only the RFC822 part of the mail will go to the other mailer,
which in turn will *not* find a valid recipient in the header, and will
reject the mail.
It *will* work to direct users and to other mailers defined BSMTP 3.
