I think it's a good solution - provided, of course, that Eric thinks it'
acceptable. It lacks, though, in one way - suppose an EARN LISTSERV
postmaster discovers a bug. This bug could, and probably also will,
affect non-EARN LISTSERVs (remember - most LISTSERVs are not in EARN).
 
Now the EARN postmaster could not warn the others (at least not
"officially") about the problem, and sometimes this can damage.
Still - the solution of "Eric doesn't support; only includes the
"EARN-master" in the updates he ships" is not bad at all...but now
we have to hear Eric's reaction to it.
