If your list is setup to do RENEWAL processing, and the subscriber's
userid does NOT have the NORENEW option set, and has not issued
a SET/SUB command within the renewal period, and LISTSERV has
generated a RENEWAL NOTIFICATION Email ("Confirm") to the user
and the notificaton period has NOT expired, THEN you will find
that user in the PENDING state.  Or something like that ;-)
