[. . .]

Some other random thoughts:

* Make sure that the names of the file are correct. In particular if
you created them using a Windows text editor it may have saved them
as (say) test-l.log9511.txt instead of just test-l.log9511 .

* You say "Nothing is showing up." It's not clear to me what you're
looking for where. I'd try to access the new log files in a variety
of methods, including:

        INDEX listname
        SEARCH "some phrase you know is in the file" IN listname
        via the web interface if it is installed

If INDEX and SEARCH find the archive files you created but they don't
show up in the web interface, I'd refresh the mailing list header and
see if that makes LISTSERV rebuild the web archives so they include
the new files.  (The easiest way to do this is via the web interface;
go into the mailing list management page, select the appropriate
mailing list, click on "Configure", and without changing anything
click on "Update".)

Thanks,
