The reason I'm stumped is because the FILEID file DOES contain fm/vaddr:
the filemode is E5. I don't know where LISTSERV is coming up with any mention
of mode L. The other filelist with a dynamically accessed disk also has mode
E5 as the mode for its files (from FILEID).
