I am a new user to the LISTSERV and have just recently subscribed to
lstsrv-l in hopes of having some questions answered (and to learn more
about the list server). I understand the format to subscribe to a list
is:
SUBscribe listname <your_full_name>
Here is my problem: I would like to subscribe to IBMPC-L list BUT
I do not want the mail to be sent to my personal mailbox. With our
mail system it is possible for me to establish a BITNET name which you
can send to which will then have the mail sent to a public notesfile
on our system. This opens the list up to many users on our system with
just one subscription to the list. I would like for the mail from
IBMPC-L to be sent to "IBMPC@FSU" instead of "DAY@FSU". Can anyone
explain how I can accomplish this?
It appears the listserver uses the FROM: field in my subscription note
for the "return address". Is it possible to use another field
(maybe REPLY-TO:) to give the actual address to send the list? I can
generate my own "user-fields" if needed....is this route possible?
Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thank-you very much.
