Exactly.  This is why LISTSERV will never change the From: field (which
identifies the original author of a message) and also why the From: address of a
list message is never the List-Address  (LISTNAME@...).   Neither LISTSERV nor
the List can be the author of a list message.  Some person is always the author.
LISTSERV is merely performing a service of easily and rapidly re-distributing
the mail authored by some person to a list of interested subscribers.  (This is
also why the List-Address is the To: field of all List Mailings.)
