Thanks Wayne. My ignorance will be fairly obvious but we almost exclusively use the gui and add the eid of the member in Subscriber Management-Add Subscriber. I’ve only seen this on this list and we have many. I just deleted the one entry and all seems ok. I was just wondering if the list owner had somehow added the bad entry, possibly as on the command line. Thanks for replying.

Is your syntax "add listname-l  [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>" or "add [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>"?  The latter might explain the message; I've not tried it.
