Can you post the complete Internet headers from such an e-mail?  This
should reveal what's happening.

FWIW, LISTSERV doesn't alter the timestamp of the e-mail when it arrives
from the original poster.  However, if the e-mail travels through
intermediate servers on the way to or from LISTSERV, there's no guarantee
that they won't alter it.
