I have an annoying problem which I have not been able to resolve
satisfactorily.  I manage a university mail system with student, faculty,
and employee users.  Due to the way we manage user accounts, a student may
leave the university without unsubscribing from his/her listserves.  When
I delete those users' accounts, the postmaster starts receiving bounced
email from the listserves.  Is there some way to get these deleted
accounts removed from listserves?  I don't want to have to re-create the
userid in order to send the unsubscribe command.  I have done this in a
few cases and was able to get it to work about half the time.  Some of the
lists seem to managed by different listserv software.  I've also tried
sending the unsubscribe command as supervisor, but received a message back
that this was unacceptable.  Thanks for any help you can give me.
