Are you *sure* that exim is running properly?

Try 'telnet localhost 25'.  See if that works.  If that doesn't, fix exim
and try again.

Also, double-check that if you specify 'SMTP_PORT=' in your go.user, that
it matches what exim is expecting.

Using 'lsof' on the exim and lsv processes to see what port numbers they
have open might be informative as well....
