To whom it may concern:
I'm writing this letter on behalf of a number of Latin American people who are
planning to form a new mailing list for discussion of Latin American soccer
with spanish as the official language. We have searched for a host to maintain
the new list, and we've found support from ANDESCOL.BITNET, whose postmaster,
Gonzalo Romero (gromero) has kindly responded in a positive way to our
petition, but he says one or more peer servers are needed to share the list.
Here is the information we have so far:
o TOPIC/SUBJECT
Latin American soccer (futbol), with spanish as the main language,
but submitions about world soccer events in other languages are also
acceptable.
o NAME
The proposed name is FUTBOL-L but suggestions are welcome.
o HOST
Currently, we have an offer from ANDESCOL.BITNET but we still need
to find a peer host to share the list. We presume the number of
members will be high. (We project that about 10% of the members
of all latin lists will want to subscribe; the number of members
in those lists runs from about 200 up to 1000 and there are about
15 of those latin lists).
We thank you in advance for any answers and all the attention payed to
this message. Sincerely,
Jose Solorzano
