This list  is not about discussing  the relative merits of  C and PASCAL,
except,  possibly and  for a  short time,  where they  directly apply  to
LISTSERV. It should be obvious enough that a program like LISTSERV is not
a number  crunching program and has  to interface to the  mail system and
operating system in  a lot of places. The difficulty  in porting software
like LISTSERV is not in getting the compiler to compile, but in adjusting
the system  interfaces. At any  rate, discussions about Turbo  PASCAL and
the like have no place here. Thank you.
