I recently set up the free LISTSERV light for a small non-profit. Seems
to work fine EXCEPT for a constant barrage of messages from
cherry.ease.lsoft.com, which according to the headers, originated at
peach.ease.lsoft.com.

The set up has a Microsoft Exchange 2000 server sitting between the
world and my LISTSERV, with both NAT'd behind a firewall. Here is the
SMTP log for the message coming into Exchange:

That looks pretty normal, except for the missing From. Here is the SMTP
log when Exchange tries to forward it:

It is just giving up after the "hello" sequence. This is causing a
"non-delivery report" (NDR) and, since the from is no good, it then
lands in the "bad mail" area.

I am getting many, many of these each and every day.

What's going on? I don't think I even want the messages, but I know I
don't want all of the failures and bad mail.
