Many LISTSERVs have a SIGNOFF command that allows you to sign off from
every LISTSERV in the Bitnet network. I think there should also be
a NEWADDR command that can be used to change your network address across
the network. It's probably a fairly common thing that someone invests
a lot of time in setting up LISTSERV AFDs, FUIs, and conference
subscriptions only to have to start from scratch when they leave the company.
A NEWADDR command would allow them to give their new network address to
any LISTSERV and then that LISTSERV would forward the new information
across the network, and the user's Bitnet environment would be preserved.
What do others think?
Thanks,
Will
