One would argue that LISTSERV is using the correct time zone – it uses its local time zone in its response (I presume; I don’t see the time zone in the Sent: line, but it’s clearly 8 hours earlier than the +0000 timestamp set in the “Your message dated” lines in the subject and body, and I’m operating under the assumption that you’re in the -0800 zone in California).



It appears that the email it is responding to came from someone in the +0000 time zone.  If the email didn’t come from someone in that zone, it sounds like that person needs to check the time zone settings on their local machine.  In any case, LISTSERV simply uses the date stamp found on the inbound email when it constructs its response, and doesn’t try to convert it to your local zone.



The TZONE variable generally isn’t set explicitly as LISTSERV normally is able to pick up the correct time offset from the operating system.  But setting it wouldn’t make any difference in this case anyway.

There is a line in 'go':



export MYDOMAIN POSTMASTER STOREPW TZONE STARTMSG S BITNET_ROUTE MYORG



but TZONE is undefined.



All other time time zone was correct (posts and archives).
