The Revised LISTSERV Distribution List <LSTSRV-L@EB0UB011> |
This idea was recently brought up on the LIAISON list. I think it would
be a possible solution to the "blabla no longer works/studies/has an
account here" problem. LISTSERV could allow for the list owner to
specify a "normal subscription period" if any. It might also be nice for
LISTSERV to send out warnings stating that "your subscription will end
on ... unless you re-subscribe".
Another possible solution might be for LISTSERV to automatically cancel
subscriptions if it gets mail "returned to sender, address unknown" (
perhaps on two different days? during one week? ), but this solution
seems more prone to problems.
Comments anyone?
Tony
