Just a quick and possibly dumb question.
I'm just about to build the 1.8d on top of the beta 1.8d on solaris
and I wonder what others have done?

Using "make update" vs "make install"

I ask because the current bit* and link* files in listserv/home are more
up to date than the ones in the distribution I'm about to build, while
other files in the new non-beta version seem more up to date than the beta
files.

I've copied my current license file over the license-merge file to avoid
the evaluation lic, but now wonder which would be the best to do an
update or an install?

Input much appreciated.
