Comments:
We recently turned mail merge on for one of our lists, but the way listserv adds information about who was receiving the mail causes problems for our mail server. The bounce header looks like

Return-Path: owner-drexel-official-all-l*matthew*-kaminsky**DREXEL*[log in to unmask]

The problems occurs when a bounce does happen, and it comes back properly to that address. However, our LDAP lookup doesn't treat the * as a separator, causing the lookup to fail and the message to sit in our mail queue until it finally expires.

Is there any setting to change what character is used as the separator in this case? I've looked over what keywords are available but haven't found anything yet.
