Some of the responses to my query about editing Notebooks set
me to wondering how useful it will be to extract the threads into
files, since it removes them from the database. So, I thought
what I would like to do instead is create a table of contents
for the Notebooks. I know you can do this with the Listserv
search, but I would like to make something with the thread
names first and then the numbers spread second (much like
page numbers in a book's table of contents). I have done
this already with some list searches, but mainly by
downloading the database output into PCWrite and
re-editing them (which can be messy). So I would
like to know if anyone can suggest a template where
a modification of

        //ListSrch JOB Echo=no
        Database Search DD=Rules
        //Rules DD *
        s * in
        index
        /*
        //  EOJ

will produce a table of contents with subject lines first and
numbers second.

Jeff
