I'm assuming that [log in to unmask] is a valid mailbox (otherwise THAT
site would bounce it and get the user removed), but that mailbox is then
forwarded to some other site, which then bounces it with an error message
[log in to unmask] user unknown'. Of course, Listserv can't do much
about that, since it's never heard of 'elsewhere.com'.
Your best bet here is to enable 'active' probing (which will require a small
patch to Sendmail - I think there's versions for Sendmail 8.9 through 8.12
on ftp.lsoft.com someplace). Note that there *are* performance implications
with doing this.
