Subject: Send= use wildcards for address?

I have been asked, so wanted to confirm ...

One of our colleges has a list set as "Send= Public". Unsurprisingly, they are being overwhelmed with spam. I am recommending if they want this to remain "public", they switch to Send= Public,Confirm,Non-Member

However, I am picking up they just want to filter the public posts, so something like Send= *@college.edu

Which I'm not even sure is workable. But I wanted to ask.
