Moshe, We have a 5 point license, and currently host 3 lists, two of
them pretty active.  Not nearly the demand that you have.
Still, I'm upgrading my VPS hosting plan to include 4 GB in
Ram.  I'm hoping to have the listserv upgraded by the endof the month, if not sooner.

Depending on the number of lists you have, we with some 5k of them found that a unix virtual machinewas doing much better with 8 GB. We started with 4GB and then upgraded, which is easy on  virtualmacine.. that happened recently with the upgrade from 15.5 to 16.0ciao../Moshe

Thanks Jacob,  I'll be home soon and I'll work on it.  I'm told I should upgrade myhosting plan to include at least 4 gigs of Ram.   I'm using 1 gig now.  So I'll haveto migrate operations to a new server first.  I have a VPS server with a few .comsthere now,  so lots more than just thelistserv to migrate.

I'm preparing for a listserv upgrade,, from version 15. I was hoping to install a test version for a month to tryit out. But I couldn't extract the files to do an installation. My normal extraction program wouldn't recognize thefile downloaded.

What platform are you installing LISTSERV on?

I think you might be using some variety of Unix.  In this case, there’s two ways you can install LISTSERV.
If you’re using the .bin file, then that file isn’t actually intended to be extracted.  It’s an executable, and you would use it to install LISTSERV using the instructions at http://www.lsoft.com/manuals/16.0/install/LISTSERV16.0_InstallManual_UNIXSimplified.htm , rather than running some uncompression utility on it.
If you’re using the .tar.Z files, then you should be able to extract them using the uncompress and tar commands as described at http://www.lsoft.com/manuals/16.0/install/LISTSERV16.0_InstallManual_UNIX.htm#_Toc290567944 .  If this isn’t working, then can you give the exact commands you’re using to extract the files, and the errors that are resulting?
