The Revised LISTSERV Distribution List <LSTSRV-L@DEARN>
Is there a reason to not have mail lists that are "via distribute" end
up sending a single BSMTP mailing from the "last" listserv to touch a
copy of the mail file to each node it is handling? For instance, if 3
users at node A are on a list, when node B's LISTSERV handles sending
to each of them (assuming it is the "closest" listserv) we get 3 copies
of the file flowing from node B to the BSMTP mailer on node A. I'd
like to see one copy flow in that case. Am I missing something? What
do others think? Is this one of the problems that DIST2 will solve?
