The people who run production mail with alpha (or even preAlpha ;) copies of
Sendmail all know *exactly* what they're doing. For instance, the only way to
get the Sendmail 8.12 multiple-queue support to work sensibly was to pump lots
of mail through it. What went out as 8.12.0.Alpha0 had something that only
vaguely resembled the final queue support - there was stuff in there that
*seemed* quite reasonable, until you had pumped a few million mesages through.
I'll leave it as an excercise for the reader to figure out how I knew that. ;)
The people who are picking up Beta copies on their own get to make their own
peace with whatever $DEITY they need help from. ;)
