The Revised LISTSERV Distribution List <LSTSRV-L@DEARN>
LISTSERV doesn't "obey" a :fformat tag when processing a DIST job. It
gets a series of LRECL 80 records, which it may or may not have the
proper tools to decode, and which may correspond to more than one file,
and forwards it 'as is' to the recipients. The sender should make sure
that he sends files in a format that can be understood by all the
recipients.

Besides, if all the brand-X machines on the network spent 1 day writing a
trivial Netdata decoding program, it would make life much easier for
everybody.
