I have a list Z with
*  Subscription= Open,confirm

If I
add Z foo@bar Foo Bar
then no confirmation request is sent to Foo Bar.  This is by design and
A Good Thing.

However, there are times when it would be convenient to force a confirm-
ation even when the subscription does not originate with the subscriber.
I would have thought that
for foo@bar subscribe Z Foo Bar
would have done the trick, but it does not.  The subscription is entered
but no confirmation request is sent.  Is there a way to accomplish this?
