Forwarded with permission. Here's the answer to my dumb mistake.

Thanks Nathan.

----------------------------Original message----------------------------
1.8c ships with a file called listview.c which can be compiled with
'make listview'. You can then run listview* against a list file and
redirect it to a file, e.g.,

'listview -h listname > listname.header'

'listview -h' shows only the header of the list.
'listview -s' shows the header and the subscribers.
'listview -a' shows the header and the subscribers with their option strings.
'listview' without a switch is the same as 'listview -a'.

You can replace the listname.list file with the listname.header file after
editing out the bad line, then stop and restart LISTSERV to reformat it.
If the list has subscribers, use 'listview -a' instead of 'listview -h',
of course, or you will lose the subscribers.

Nathan
