LMON is RSCS Line Monitoring code that is added on to Listserv.
 
LMON can automatically restart links or notify you to investigate a link
which is not connected.    LMON has helped me with some links which would
become active and be unnoticed for a long period time.   A simple drain and
start solves the problem.   LMON also provides the ability to trap files
which are above the BITNET guidlines, drain/start a groups a lines in the case
where a group of lines go through the same hardware.
