Hmm.. a virus-scanning firewall is blocking it because the signatures contain
things that match virus signatures? ;)
One thing that *might* be an issue if you're trying to download to a Linux
system is that some sites have problems with ECN (Explicit Congestion
Notification).

I run with ECN enabled on the laptop I'm writing this from - some web servers
are behind ECN-broken firewalls, and this is a quick workaround:
echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_ecn
If this magically makes the machine reachable, then at least you know what
the problem is.
Unfortunately, even with ECN on, I *am* able to reach www.fsecure.com just
fine, so unless updates come from another box that has an ECN problem,
there's something else wrong where you are...
